Thinking about getting Farrah a sister...
And little Kayla might be it!
She’s at the Carolina Pet Rescue which is fortunately only 45 minutes away from us! She has adrenal but she will be in the best care with Jordan and I. She looks so sweet! :)
I will keep everyone posted on our decision.
But if anyone is in NC and is having a difficult time finding shelters, Carolina Pet Rescue is located in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Duk Soup?! How to I make that? :D
Whoops, sorry! I forgot to explain D: Well they have little packets to mix at pet stores called Uncle Jim’s Duk Soup, but you can make a homemade recipe too! I’m looking around google for some simple recipes, but they are kind of complicated :/ They usually consist of boiled chicken, eggs, ferretvite and ferretone, ground grain-free kibble, and some other bits. But I’m thinking it will be a lot easier to pick up a soup packet at the pet store :)
I want to know about your ferret's personality!
I’ve had three fuzzies including Farrah, and she is by far the spunkiest of them all!
She’s coming up on 4 months so she’s a little spitfire naturally.
We have a little chihuahua that Farrah constantly torments, which is really pushing me to adopt a sibling for her to play with. I call her the little UFC fighter…(Ultimate Ferret Championship ;D)
She can run around the room for hours and never stop!
Age? Almost 4 months
Color? Farrah has a really dark body with white mitts and a white mask. I believe she is a sable panda.
Favorite Snacks? Farrah usually gets little chicken chewies as a treat. She eats those up. She also loves her Ferretone and Ferretvite.
Bathtime? Farrah is so/so with baths. She just sits in the water staring at me while I suds her up. She is not very happy with me during this time. D:
Favorite toy? Her favorite toy is her little pink ball and her Mardi Gras beads. But she generally loves anything that’s small enough for her to carry around and hide.
Food? Farrah eats a mixture of Mizuri and Evo.
Playtime? She turns into a little beast when it’s playtime. She hops around backwards and dooks until she bumps into the recliner or tv stand and quickly bolts underneath.
Sleeptime? Farrah sleeps in her hammock with her hand crocheted baby blanket. It’s a medium sized blue and grey blanket with and opening at the end so she can get inside. A homemade sleepsack. :)
Overall attitude? Princess.
I want to know about your ferrets! Fill this out and post so I can see all of the different personalities that make ferrets the best pets ever. :D Feel free to add questions, I just put what was at the top of my head.

Decided after watching Sable for 6+ hours that it would be extremely cruel to not have her in with the other ferrets. She was just laying on her bed not doing ANYTHING. She was one depressed ferret.
And like I predicted, she didn’t TOUCH the wet food.
So I compromised, put her back in with the…
Did they give you a syringe to feed her with? That’s how I had to feed my other fuzzy, he hated it but he needed it.
They did for her medicine, and I could do that. That’s a brilliant idea. But I honestly don’t think the problem is her food. I’ll start doing that tomorrow… but what do you suggest about her separation depression? I really hate seeing her like that… even if only for a few days.
Yeah, try that tomorrow! She might not be eating because she missed her siblings D: I don’t blame you, I would hate it too! Honestly, if your vet said she didn’t have any contagious illness than I wouldn’t really worry about keeping them separated. But what did your vet say about separating them? I suppose it’d be best to listen to your vet though, just to be on the safe side.

chicken jerky
I got some chicken jerky yesterday as a treat since today is National Ferret Day but I heard that chicken jerky is being recalled.
Only Tilly liked it and she was gnawing on it.
My next mission is to make homemade chicken jerky. It won’t cost me extra because I’ll just ask my mom for some when she buys it.
My mom used to make beef jerky by cooking it in the oven at 200 for like 3 hours.
I am so excited to make this. I took away the jerky and gave them n-bones.
Let me know how that goes! Ferretorium told me about these treats called Foamy Fries and they’re supposed to be really good! I have yet to order them though, but I think I’ll try your idea for Farrah too!

For the passed few days I’ve noticed that one of the fuzzies has been having liquid green-hued poo. I’m terrified it’s ECE. I finally figured out it was Sable and she has a vet appointment for later today. Sable has been eating & drinking well, with no changes in her activity level.
Can you guys…
It really depends on your vet. I suspected my passed ferret of having adrenal, and for a stool sample and blood tests it cost around $250. I’m only assuming that is what they’ll do for your baby. But the vet I have to go to is the only one around my area that cares for ferrets so they charge way to much in my opinion. You can always ask for an estimate over the phone or when you get to the office. :) Good luck!
And I also fed Farrah Zupreem but just changed her diet yesterday because her poop has been very grainy and runny. Maybe it’s just her food. I’ll let you know if her poop changes as her diet does. I started feeding her a mix of Mizuri and Evo because unfortunately I cannot find the grain free Zupreem either.
